I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a picture of a screen having a name or a name that was written on it.
I think the most obvious thing that someone viewing a screen can see is the characters that are on the screen. I think what you can see is the color of the screen. If the screen is dark and the characters are black, you can still see the character, but if the screen is in bright light, you can only see the color of the screen. I think the best way to look at this, is to think of how the colors on a screen and on a computer are the same.
I find it interesting that this is the first time I’ve seen a screen name being used on a web page. The idea that if you go to the website it says “screen name” and the “screen” is your screen, it seems like a bold claim to me.
